Guidelines

The mission of the Topfer Family Foundation (TFF) is to fund programs and organizations that connect people to the tools and resources they need to build self-sufficient and fulfilling lives. Programs eligible for TFF funding will adhere to the guidelines listed below and address one or more of the following program areas:

Program Areas

Geographic Areas
The Topfer family is keenly interested in understanding the unique needs of the communities in which they invest foundation resources. Therefore, contributions are limited to the communities in which the family resides: the greater Austin, Texas and the greater Chicago, Illinois metropolitan areas. In Illinois, preference is given to organizations serving DuPage and Cook counties.

Note to Chicago Area Applicants:
TFF has suspended accepting unsolicited proposals for the Chicago metropolitan area for the foreseeable future due to limits on our current and anticipated grantmaking portfolio.
Current TFF grantees are eligible to apply for renewal funding. Prospective grantees must receive an invitation from TFF to apply for funding. Organizations are welcome to send basic information about their programs via mail or email, but please note that we are not able to respond. If the program aligns with our funding priorities and immediate grantmaking goals, we will follow up with you.
